Square Hide & Sort ShippingPrivacy policy

This policy explains how Square Designs (“we”, “us”) handles data for the Shopify app Square Hide & Sort Shipping (the “App”).
Who this app is for
The App is used by Shopify merchants to hide, show, rename, and sort shipping methods at checkout. It is a third-party app. Shopify is a trademark of Shopify Inc.
Data we store
We store only shop-scoped data needed to run the App:
- Shop domain and OAuth session details issued by Shopify (including access tokens and, when Shopify provides them, the installing staff member’s name and email)
- Merchant-created shipping rules (rule name, action, priority, and condition configuration such as titles, tags, country codes, or product/collection IDs the merchant selects)
- Shop settings required to attach the delivery customization (Shopify resource IDs)
We do not store:
- Customer names, addresses, payment details, or order contents
- Checkout session data beyond what Shopify evaluates in the Function
- Passwords — login uses Shopify OAuth only
Cart, customer, and address conditions are evaluated by a Shopify Function at checkout. That evaluation happens on Shopify’s infrastructure. The App does not copy customer personal information into its database.
How we use data
We use stored data only to:
- Authenticate the merchant in Shopify admin
- Save and sync shipping rules to the delivery customization
- Check plan access through Shopify Managed Pricing
- Respond to support requests the merchant sends us
We do not sell shop or customer data. We do not use customer data for advertising.
Processors
The App is hosted by Square Designs. Shopify processes authentication, checkout, and billing. We do not share shop data with other third parties for their own use.
Retention and deletion
- Uninstall: the
app/uninstalledwebhook deletes sessions, rules, and shop settings for that shop. - Shop redaction: the
shop/redactwebhook deletes the same shop-scoped records. - Customer data request / redaction: the App does not store customer personal information, so those webhooks acknowledge the request and have nothing to export or erase.
Your rights
Merchants can uninstall the App at any time. For access or deletion questions about shop data we still hold, email support@squaredesigns.org.
